About My Blog

Hi, I’m Danielle, aka Danni Lou, a mom, photographer, and content creator who’s passionate about capturing the beauty of everyday moments.

As a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, I know firsthand how quickly the little things slip by like the belly laughs, sticky fingers, and cozy snuggles that make up real family life. Through my photography and content, I aim to freeze those fleeting moments so you can hold onto them forever.

My work blends two worlds:
✨ Family Documentary & Lifestyle Photography — preserving your family’s story in authentic, candid images.
✨ Lifestyle & Mom Content Creation — sharing honest mom life, kid products I actually use and love, and practical inspiration for making home life simpler and sweeter.

At the heart of everything I share is this: you don’t need a perfect life to create a beautiful one, you just need to notice it, nurture it, and document it.

When I’m not behind the camera or creating content, you’ll find me homeschooling my kids, experimenting with plant-based recipes, or sneaking in a quiet cup of tea.

Thanks for being here! I’m so glad we’ve connected!

First Week with A New Puppy

It's been a while since we've had a furry companion in our house. My oldest son kept asking when we would get another dog, and my husband and I both kept randomly looking. We were starting to feel emotionally ready for another dog, but also my youngest who is 19...

Upgrading My Toddlers Lunch

Did I finally cave and buy a Bentgo box? Yes, yes I did! I've contemplated for a long time getting a Bentgo Box for my kiddos. Before, I talked myself out of it because I felt overwhelmed by the amount of compartments and I wasn't sure what I could put in all of those...

Starting later in life.

I sat around a u-shaped table with several others in a small room. It was the first meeting of the year. I was at a new university branching out of my comfort zone to entertain a curiosity and new found enjoyment of mine. It was a group for writers. I felt completely...

Finding the Spark

It's funny how sometimes we have tons of motivation and feel so inspired to do what we love and then the next day that feeling just disappears, or that seems to be the case for me anyway. Just the a couple of weeks ago I remembering being so inspired to write...

Breaking Limitations

In the past I’ve set limitations on myself because I’ve been afraid to be me. I actually wrote a post a while back about being afraid which you can read here. After I wrote that, I did better for a little while about pushing past that, but not to the extent that I...

I’m Afraid…

I'm just going to be honest with you. I'm afraid. I'm afraid to be seen.  I'm afraid of who I am and who I'm not.  I'm afraid of not living. I'm afraid of living. I'm afraid of letting go. I'm afraid of being different. I'm afraid of being the same. We live in a world...

God’s Perfect Fireworks

Nick and I made plans to go to Sea World on our trip to Texas. We thought it might be best to go on Tuesday, but then decided to go on Monday because they were having a firework show for Independence Day. We got there a half an hour before it opened to get in line to...
